The rentals for most trips is for the whole bus. Your private group. ~~There will be a few that are open to individual tickets.
The bus holds 14 ppl max. All guests must be 21+ with a vaild ID.
You may bring "refreshments" on the bus. You may also bring food on the bus.
After the show, you will have 30 minutes to get back to the bus and be ready to depart.
The pickup/dropoff location is Nocturnem Draft Haus in Bangor unless other arrangements are made in advance.
What do the tours include?
We will provide safe transportation to a variety of alcohol producers with a knowledgeable and fun Driver/Guide. Samples are include with guided tastings and a facility tour where available. We offer complimentary water and snacks. Tours are all inclusive and the Growler bus purchases and tips on all samples provided. Please see details of your selected tour on our website.
When and where do you pick up?
The Growler Bus typically will be parked on Broad Street Behind Nocturnem Draft House and directly across from the Pickering Square Parking Garage. Our Driver/Guide will meet you to check-in at the Broad Street entrance of Nocturnem Draft Haus (or previously arranged pick up location).

Please be at departure location 15 minutes in advance of departure time to allow for check-in. Departure times are as scheduled on your tickets and are firm as we are working with other businesses. You will be returned to the Nocturnem Draft House (or at previously arranged location).
Where should I park so I don’t get ticketed or towed?
The Parking Garage is always open and free for the first 2 hours. After that, each additional hour is 50¢, up to a 24-hour maximum $4.50 (your best bet on a Friday).

On Saturdays and Sundays you can park in The Key Plaza Parking lot on Water Street. It’s at the end of Broad Street. A 1-minute walk to departure point. Do not park there on Fridays or you will pick up your car from impound. We ask that you don’t park on Broad Street as it is very limited.
Do I need my ID?
Yes! You need to be 21 to ride the bus and prove it. NO exceptions. We will card you. Think of it as flattering. Some day, you’ll beg to be carded. Our State is very strict on this. Valid IDs are drivers licenses, state ID cards, passports or military IDs.

Do I need to bring more money or a card?
Our tours are inclusive. BUT, we do encourage the economic stimulation of our local brew scene. Most of our stops have Merch for sale. More Importantly, most of our stops will sell Cans, Bottles and sometimes GROWLERS for taking with you. Time will be provided to make any additional purchases. Any purchases, excluding spirits, may be consumed on the bus.
Will I get intoxicated?
The Growler Bus will provide you a variety of samples from our local craft alcohol producers. It is our hope that you will sample something that you love and will want to take home with you or seek out at a later date. You probably will get somewhat tipsy along the way. We encourage responsible imbibing and light mayhem. As long as you are having fun, not being a nuisance to others or disrupting the trip then we encourage the fun.
It looks like most tour times run through lunch. Are we stopping to eat along the way?
Some of our tours do include a scheduled lunch, check the tour itinerary before booking. Many of our tour stops do offer food and time will be provided for you to grab something to eat. We will, however, have light snacks and water on the bus.
*Nocturnem Draft Haus is an awesome place for food and drinks before or after your scheduled tour. We recognize you may be ready for some good food and possibly more beer and will reserve a table for you.
You post that departure times before noon. Do people really start drinking that early?
Yep, we do. Tasting rooms open at 11AM most days. Think of it as morning stretching of your liver or imagine your in Europe.
Am I allowed to drink on the bus?
Yes you are. BUT...we ask that you limit your onboard consumption to only beer and wine purchased at the scheduled stops. Non-alcoholic beverages and food are allowed. Consumption of liquor is not allowed on the bus!!

*On some of our designated longer tours we will allow you to bring beer and wine to enjoy due to the length of travel on our journey. This notice will be included in your confirmation email. But, we also ask that you exercise some sense when contemplating what to bring with you. You are embarking on a BEER TOUR after all...

**We operate our tour under a limo license in the State of Maine. The normal “no open container” law does not apply onboard, but you cannot have open containers in public! We encourage the sampling of all our breweries' offerings on the bus. If you do crack one, you had better share with your newfound friends. The beer experience is about sharing with friends. Unfortunately, we as the drivers cannot and will not sample.
Will the Growler Bus cancel or alter a tour?
The Growler Bus does reserve the right to cancel or alter any scheduled tour. We would like to have at least 6 people on each tour. If there are less than 6 registered guests the day before the tour, we reserve the right to cancel it and refund your ticket price or give you a credit to a future tour. We will always let you know as soon as we can if there are not enough people on the bus so you can make other plans or recruit some more drinking buddies.
Do you provide any non-alcoholic drinks during the tour?
Hydration is very important to a good time. We will always have a cooler with bottled water for refreshment.
